My McLaren After Toronto’s First Major Snow Storm
Lets take a peek at how all the various pieces of my McLaren held up to the first major snow storm in Toronto!
You can clearly see the different water sizes (due to a very low surface tension, the water almost sticks to the roof in very random blobs of water) on the untreated roof panel. The rest of the McLaren that was protected with 3 layers of Ceramic Pro has almost perfect spherical beads (due to the very high surface tension) on all the Ceramic Pro Protected coating!
Ceramic Pro protected surfaces of my McLaren have an extremely high surface tension which is why the water beads up so perfectly. The higher the surface tension the less any liquid will want to adhere or stick to it.

You can see very small specs of dirt that are on the surface of my McLaren, some of which are inside the beads. Previously these specs when they used to try on my car required water to loosen their adhesion to the unprotected paint. Ever since I protected my McLaren with Ceramic Pro, these specs are sitting on top of the paint and wipe off with a micro fiber close without any water. Now, I don’t do this to clean my car, but it’s very interesting to see the different level of dirt that doesn’t seem to “stick” to the car anymore which is highly visible when water sits and beads on the car after the snow has melted!
